The European Board for Digital Services adopted a document of good practices and practical examples for notifying suspected criminal offences under Article 18 of the Digital Services Act. It covers when hosting providers become aware of relevant information, indicators of offences involving a threat to life or safety, identifying the Member State concerned, and the channels for transmitting notifications to law enforcement; a list of national contact points is published alongside it.
What to do: If you provide hosting services or an online platform, compare your internal procedure for Article 18 notifications with the Board's good practices and check that you use the national contact points listed by the Commission.
