What changed
On 24 July 2025 the Commission published the template, with explanatory notice, for the public summary of training content that providers of general-purpose AI models must publish under Article 53(1)(d) of the AI Act. The template sets a common minimal baseline for what must be disclosed about the data used to train a model.
Why it matters
Training-data transparency stopped being free-form: there is now one mandatory format. For buyers, the published summary becomes a standard artefact to request in AI vendor due diligence.
Who is affected
Providers of general-purpose AI models; on the receiving end, compliance and procurement teams evaluating model suppliers.
What to check next
Providers: prepare the public summary in the template format. Buyers: ask model suppliers for their published training-content summary and file it with the vendor assessment.
